I’m alone, so I can totally put this large and extravagant shiny gold rose in my hair. No big deal.
Yay!
I used to do elaborate weird things with braids in my hair. And then hang earrings off of them.
I know not to do that in public anymore.
However, back then, people were always assuming I did it “got attention”.
Ever notice how many people think your every action is about them?
And yet these are the sort of things we learn to either stop doing, or do only in private.
(The charge of attention seeking always interests me though. Because it seems that usually – not always – the people saying it see so many things as revolving around themselves. Why else would they assume everyone constantly wants their attention? I’m thinking particularly of staff here, but also others.)
