“One of the hardest things for our loved ones and friends to get used to is trusting us enough to let us follow our instincts and knowledge. In the healthy world, when there is a problem, the doctor has the final say. If I lived like that, I would spend nearly every day calling the doctor or going to the hospital. Intuition has a much larger role in my life and my health. My body is a sneaky and demanding teacher, but after so many years, I have learned from it. I’ve yielded to it when necessary, and dismissed it when possible.”
