I swear to god if I see one more ignorant asshole post some shit about wheelchair users standing/walking I’m going to smash my head against a desk.

JUST BECAUSE A PERSON IS CAPABLE OF WALKING DOES NOT MEAN IT IS PRACTICAL/COMFORTABLE/HEALTHY FOR THEM TO DO IT.

JUST…

I can walk short distances in the house, some of the time. I cannot walk outside of my house, ever. Also my ability to walk had gotten better and worse and better over the years foot a wide variety of reasons.

Same is true for EVERY WHEELCHAIR USER IN MY BUILDING unless they literally don’t have legs. We are in senior and disabled housing for a reason. Because we are wheelchair users. For real. This is true of most chair users. Most can stand or walk.
