Squeak (the one who lost both bottom incisors sometime on Sunday) eats Critical care off a spoon when he wants it. I’ve been hand-feeding him slivered veggies mostly today, but I give him Critical Care in the morning and right before bed. It’s really cute to watch!
I switched to the spoon because there are larger bits in the mix (which I water down to about the consistency of Cream of Wheat or pablum) and the openings on my syringes are too small for those bits to go through. I wound up with some on my finger and he sucked it all up and that tongue TICKLES! So I decided to see if he’d eat from a spoon, and he does! I use a smaller spoon than this one normally, though. It’s a baby food spoon with a shorter handle. Still metal, though.
The slivered veggies are the usual stuff I give everyone (carrot, bell pepper, and cucumber) cut into long, thin strips. I stick the end into his mouth and once it’s there and at his back teeth he’s able to chew it and get it all into his mouth and swallow.
