Janna's weird crap: According to Myers-Brigg testing I am a ENFP, but I honestly think I'm an ENFJ

those things mean nothing to me. People put them on their profiles as if that somehow explains their entire being as a person or something? IDEK. I understand how the system works. I understand what it is driving at. But I find it insanely… unforgiving….

Yeah the only letters that stay the same for me are I and P. Everything else can vary from strongly one thing to strongly another.

Doesn’t help that they don’t even know what they’re getting at.

Especially sensing versus intuitive. Their idea of intuitive has nothing to do with intuition. Their idea of sensing has nothing to do with the senses. Both “extremes” are merely two degrees of the SAME EXACT KIND OF THOUGHT, that I (and lots of other people) happen to work the opposite of. Want to hear the worst part? The kind of thinking I’m best at has been called both sensing and intuition too. It’s a frigging linguistic nightmare.

I’ve tested (strongly, mind you, on all of them) ISTP, INTP, INFP, and ISFP. Usually ISFP recently, at least… however many years ago I quit taking the stupid test in disgust. But I’ve been just as stably other ones. And just as unstably.

And the idea that thinking and feeling are opposites doesn’t make sense to me either. Either in the way most people understand them, or the way the test does.
