I no longer think (if I ever truly thought) that only someone who’s been through something directly understands it.
I believe a lot of people, a lot of the time, won’t understand things they haven’t experienced. And that exactly those people are the ones most likely to twist my words here towards the bad.
But I don’t think you have to be the exact one to be there, to understand something. I don’t think that’s how identity works. I don’t think that’s how people work. I don’t think that’s how reality works.
I have no explanations, no flashy words, no ~analysis~. I just don’t think the world works the way many people believe it does. And while I see the point in acting as if it does in some contexts. I still don’t think it works like that.
