Headcanon autistic character in a movie:
Thomas Builds-the-Fire
Word of God confirms it’s a possibility and that Alexie himself has autistic traits. (He has hydrocephalus. Considered by many autistics a “cousin condition” with many similarities to autism.). According to Phil Schwarz, who talked to him. Phil and I have the same headcanon about Thomas in that movie.
Which means the rare character of color! Where autism isn’t the whole point of his character. He’s just a realistic character who happens to be autistic.
