Have you ever wondered why parents of kids with special needs always seem to be so cranky? Or why we tend to make really inappropriate remarks so often? Or why other parents of kids with special ne…

Man, I’m feeling really grateful that my parents never wrote articles like that about me on the Internet.

How do parents have so little empathy for us?

I find it hard to get along with many parents of disabled kids because they so often refuse to accurately imagine what it would be like to be their kids.

Or to think that people like their kids are worth listening to.

I miss that site you had a while back, “Getting the Truth Out.” Because I can think of ways to describe myself in those terms that are just like how parents like that talk.

My parents mostly didn’t do that. A lot of things about my childhood sucked, but they didn’t do that and for that I am grateful.
