Guide to drawing barn owl faces.

The first time I watched a barn owl nest webcam, I was struck by how much the nestling’s heads look like other raptors.  It was only when their facial feathers started growing in that they began to look like owls.  And when you watch an owl swallow something the first time, the gape of their beaks is a little shocking.
