Trying to find the right words: non-conceptual special interests?

josiahd:

Any of y’all have special interests that aren’t abstract or conceptual in nature? I feel like there are all these things like trains/math/chemistry/politics/fandoms and somethings it’s shown as that’s what special interests are.

And I have some like that but… I also have some that are sensory.

  • There is a color of blue that is like so ~right~, I like to see things that are that color especially when they catch the light in the right way.

Most of mine are sensory and nobody ever talks about this except in traditional books on autism and then not from the inside.
