After another couple of packages, I’m also finally back up to full earring capacity. I had to take most of them out for work several years back, and just never got anything back in the cartilage piercings. (Though I’m allergic to almost everything, my cartilage is fine with decent sterling too, unlike some.)
So I haven’t gotten around to getting the tarnish off the old ones yet, grubby as they’re looking by contrast. Ah well.
The green amber teardrops (unflattering light here for the stone) are a bit bigger than I’d expected, but still not too bad. It still fits the curve of the helix OK. Though I was hoping to avoid that degree of jewelry overlap with the other helix piercing. That 10mm CBR-look hoop was fiddly enough to deal with, but I may swap it for the 8mm one I also bought because I wasn’t sure which size would work better. (I *really* didn’t want to deal with/lose the loose ball on an actual CBR that size on my own.) And no doubt make the piercing grumpy again now that it’s starting to calm down after a few days, but hey.
I misjudged the diameter I wanted on the replacements I got for the first holes, too, but it turned out not looking too bad even if they’re also bigger than intended. Losing one of the previous there was what prompted me to buy more earrings all around, this time.
But, yay, sparkly. ;)
