I am nauseous on an empty stomach. Why is that? I woke up very nauseated… I took a phenergan and slept half the day.
Any one else deal with nausea regardless of what you eat or even if you don’t eat?
I am still trying to learn what my stomach is telling me.
I don’t eat at all. At least not with my stomach. It goes into my intestines directly.
And I still get very nauseated. Not as bad as when I used my stomach. But bad enough.
Bile can build up in your stomach too. And when it builds up is when I am the worst nauseated. In fact I have to wear drainage bags most of the day and night and also manually drain it to keep from nausea and from it flooding my lungs. Because if your stomach won’t empty well, it’s not just food that builds up it’s also bile.
You can also get nauseated BECAUSE your stomach is empty, but that stopped happening to me after the feeding tube so maybe hunger is part of it. These days empty stomach is a wonderful and rare feeling. Because all the bile.
I honestly wish it were safe to give all people with GP g tubes to drain their stomach fluids out through. It makes it so much easier. (I have a GJ tube, the j part is for eating. G for draining.)
