What the Tumblr block button does:

  • blocks me from seeing their posts
  • sometimes blocks them from sending me asks and sometimes doesn’t?

What the Tumblr block button should do:

  • block them from following me
  • block them from reblogging posts from me
  • block them from reblogging my original posts from other blogs
  • block them from tagging things with my URL
  • preferably block them from the internet altogether but I can settle for just the first 4 bullet points if I have to

Wouldn’t “block them from tagging things with my URL” just result in a bunch of jerks creating URLs matching certain tags, and then blocking anyone they didn’t want posting on them?

Signed, someone with way too much experience with both childhood and adult bullies whose goals were to cut me off from places and communities I wanted to go to
