Spectacular Sand Sculptures

The Netherlands born artist, Susanne Ruseler, can sculpt anything with sand with amazing detail and dimension. Her sculptures include people, animals, mythological creatures, and inanimate objects. Ruseler has completed hundreds of intricate sand sculptures which are available for perusing on her Flickr page.

Ruseler started sand sculpting in 2003, when she was still studying biology. She discovered that she loves creating sculptures and began sculpting snow and ice as well. Since graduating, she has been sculpting full time as she travels around the world, participating mostly in events and some competitions. She has worked on events throughout Europe, Australia, South Korea, United States and Canada.
