I actually got into, years ago, an in person conversation about how maybe pedophiles are just misunderstood like gay people used to be. This was at an LGBT community center. Anyway I ended up running away and hiding around a corner while my friend argued with them. When I came back and said i was abused as a kid, they told me I WAS TOO NEAR THE SUBJECT TO HAVE AN OBJECTIVE CONVERSATION.
