If you feed your rabbit mostly carrots, it will die. Rabbits eat alfalfa.

Ah, but rabbits DO like carrots. They just need to eat other stuff too. Just like guinea pigs. :)
Me and brother #2 had a band for a while called The Nimrodz. We played worship music for youth events. It was fun. One of the few things we’ve done together without fighting and stuff. (Our relationship has always been a bit rocky. But I love him. He’s my brother!)

Oh, I’m sure they do. I had a caseworker who was feeding her rabbit nothing except carrots, though, and it starved to death. It was pretty sad.
That does sound fun.

That’s awful. Like people who feed their cats vegan food. Like, just, NO. Research your pets and learn what you need to feed them. What do they need in order to be healthy?
Rabbits need timothy hay and pellets and a variety of veggies. I know that, and I’ve only ever cared for one rabbit in my life, as a kid, rabbit-sitting while someone was away. But their diet is very similar to that of guinea pigs (just rabbits don’t need extra Vitamin C) so it’s second nature for me at this point.
I bet she never took it to the vet ever, either, right?

Ugh ._.; I can’t believe people do that.
That’s good to know. I only knew about alfalfa, but, I would have done more research if I was going to own a rabbit.
I don’t know. I assume not, because then the vet would have told her to feed it things besides carrots.

I figured as much. Far too many people think that rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils, hamsters, and other small mammals are “disposable” pets and that vet expenses are too much.
All four of my guinea pigs have seen the vet at least once, some of them several times, often because they’re ill or injured. Because that’s what you do for a pet.
I spent several hundred dollars on vet bills last year for the rescue pig who just kept losing weight even with multiple hand feedings a day. She died after like six months of that and at least one appointment a month plus x-rays and an ultrasound and a urine test that finally determined that she was probably in kidney failure. I wouldn’t do anything differently except maybe feed her more often. And she was a rescue; the hope was to get her well and then find her a forever home with someone else who would love her and take proper care of her.
