clatterbane: myinvisibleillnessdiary: The fact that I can go in this ER in a wheel chair, in a full leg brace, crying, unable to speak coherently due to pain, tell them the extensive surgery I went through two weeks ago, have them see my still fresh incision, and so tired because I’ve been awake for a little under 24 hours at this point from, guess what, pain and I STILL HAVE TO CONVINCE THEM to give me a shot…. I don’t even have words for the anger. And to top it off the reason he didn’t want to give me a shot was because “You are too tired”? Like yeah, that’s exactly what I am, BECAUSE OF PAIN! And to put the cherry on top they write in my record that they are treating me for arthritis pain? I simply cannot believe how hard it is to get quality health care. I really do love being written off as a drug seeker; no really it’s fabulous, try it some time. And a little fun fact, if you abuse prescription pain pills, you are part of my problem. #notsorry ERs are the worst. :( Sorry you’re having to deal with that crap.
