Just because I do something today that I said I couldn’t do yesterday doesn’t mean:

• I was lying about how bad it was before.
• I’m all better.
• That I should even be doing the thing now.

This this this a million times this.

Fluctuating abilities are one of the least-understood things about any disability or illness and one of the ones most likely to get us treated like utter trash.

I’d be able to plan better if I had some way of predicting what I will be capable of.

That’s an interesting topic.

I’ve found I have a slight amount of control, sometimes.

Like I can, at a certain point, choose something like “Will I be able to move but not understand what I perceive?  Or will I be able to understand what I perceive but not move?”  But the amount of control varies from none to a lot depending on the situation.

I can also sometimes predict which one is going to happen, but I couldn’t tell you how I can predict it.

This is specific to autism-related cognitive-motor-perceptual abilities though.
