This is thin privilege. Names have been hidden to protect myself, but the locations discussed have been left viewable as a warning to anyone in my state who may end up in this situation, and what kind of behaviour they should expect from the medical staff who are meant to help them in their time(s) of need. I hope this is a flat-out lie, since I know of larger-sized machines in various hospitals in the area, but it disgusts me that anyone would even joke about this.

I hope it’s a lie too, but if it’s the truth that’s horrifying.
And I really wish I could shield myself more from the amount of hate people have towards fat people. I’m not even anywhere near big enough to have the above problem, nor do I know anyone who is. But I get so much crap online for being fat, and I can’t seem to make it not hurt, or make myself not get into these self-hatred loops when I see stuff like this. Whether it’s directed at me or other people. I don’t know why it’s so damn socially acceptable to hate people for being fat or for a million other things.
