sensory dependence is just as much of an access issue as sensory defensiveness
Yet we end up having to sacrifice that for others lot in mixed autistic space.
When there are competing access needs, stuff gets complicated. And sometimes it takes a lot of creativity to figure out how to accomodate everyone, and sometimes no one knows how and choices have to be made about what to prioritize.
But it’s not ok to pretend sensory defensiveness is the only legitimate access issue just because that’s what a particular space chooses to prioritize.
