➸ Pa. prescription drug database bill heads to Senate - Recent Headlines - Bucks County Courier Times
This is happening in my state and it’s scary. As if getting effective pain medicine isn’t hard enough, now people who have chronic pain are going to have to jump thru MORE hoops and be treated like criminals.
I’m really upset about this and will be fighting this any way that I can.
The invasion of privacy is also galling with a lot of these measures. :( Sorry you’re having to deal with this further crappiness.
I am actually pretty glad not to be in the US at all now, dealing with chronic pain. Things were bad enough and I couldn’t get any useful treatment when I moved, but the demonization just keeps getting worse. Hell, when I was back in 2008 I got NSAIDs and open suspicion for a vertebral fracture, they were under enough scrutiny. (Dealing with medical access problems here in the UK too, but more on the shitty doctor and disability accessibility side of things. The system isn’t—yet, at least—nearly as wacked-out around the need for pain relief.)
