I seriously just rubbed Fey’s belly and she didn’t bite my hand off.

I never do that.  Because she doesn’t like it.  I don’t know what possessed me to try it just now.  She wasn’t lying on her back or anything (that’s the LAST time you want to try and touch her belly).  And when touching it seemed to just elicit purring, I gave her a bit of a belly rub – just a short one – and she purred and rubbed my face.  I don’t know WTF is going on, this is just weird.  I don’t expect things to stay this way.  I just don’t know why I thought to do that right at the moment where she wouldn’t mind it.  (I would have stopped in an instant if she showed the slightest sign of discomfort – I even watched for it just as I was moving my hand there.  This is just weird and slightly disconcerting.)
