what an actual healthy person said to me the other day when i was explaining how i couldn’t eat food because of gastroparesis:
“oh well i wish i had that, you never have to worry about getting fat!”
OMG.
I’ve gotten the same reaction. Except in my case it’s “OMG you’ve lost so much weight, what’s your secret?” And then “I wish I had that!”
Mind you I’m still fat and I still have gastroparesis. I’ve lost 50 pounds, but I was around 243 to begin with, so… still fat at 193.
Also gastroparesis can make you fat due to alternations in metabolism, so what the person said isn’t even true.
