Until your word is taken first and no one asks where this disabled person’s handler is, where are our papers, our pedigrees

The thing that helped me to realize this the most was getting professionally…

I went the other way around. Was professionally diagnosed and the diagnosis had no use to me until I understood it for myself, a slow process that took many years.
