Fiery Throated Hummingbird.

what this is gorgeous

one time a humming bird flew into the windows of the house I grew up in and we were afraid my cat would attack it so I gently picked it up. And I sat on the bench in the backyard for a good hour with this humming bird in my cupped hands. And at first it was shaky but then it calmed down as it got it’s bearings back.

Then it started feeling ready to fly again. It would fly 2 or 3 feet away and then come back and land in my hands. And then it would fly 4 or 5 feet and then come sit in my hands again for another ten minutes. Until finally it felt better and flew up into the tree.

But it was such a neat experience to have this bird that is so so fast just sitting still in my hands I don’t even know. It was the neatest.
