So basically…
What happened with the surgery.
They took the battery from my butt.
And they moved it upwards.
So that it’s not in a sitting surface in my body.
That way I’m not sitting on it all the time even though I lost all that weight in my butt.
(The battery is for an Interstim device that helps me urinate because I have a spastic muscle around my urethra that makes it hard to pee.)
The only thing that went wrong was my IV but I’ll write about that in a different post since it deals with needles and blood and stuff.
So it hurts a lot, but it doesn’t hurt anywhere near as much as my feeding tube hurt when it was placed. As long as I keep taking my pain meds and don’t move around in the wrong ways, it’s uncomfortable but not horrific or anything. And even at its worst, I find that it’s the kind of bad that makes you feel like “well its at its worst so I might as well just keep moving rather than stop and try to fix it, because if I keep moving I’ll move to a better position and it’ll be better”. It’s not the kind of bad that makes you unable to even try, or curl up crying, or anything.
