Yeah and of course he’s in trouble now that it’s a beautiful blonde white woman he THREATENED, rather than a black boy he KILLED.
This reminds me of what happens with people who kill their disabled children and are let off, only to have them kill or attack their nondisabled children, and only then do they get taken seriously as a murderer.
It’s only when they kill (or threaten) people who “matter” that anyone gets up in arms about it. :-/
