Is Wesley the only person who is paying attention to what is going on here? It seems like no one else cares. :(

If you look at the study, three of the people were “put down” because of mental illness…we’re not talking about people with cancer choosing not to do another round of chemo, here. This is outright killing of people who are not terminally ill, but just extremely distressed and probably isolated. Ableism and eugenics at its ugliest.

And the other three people had an “unbearable neuromuscular disorder”, which is also not the same as someone truly at the end of their lives (they would’ve said something other than “unbearable”). Just as a good deal of Kevorkian’s victims weren’t terminally ill. When these people talk about “unbearable”, what they generally mean is that the person was suicidal and they took the person’s word for it that their disability was the reason, because “everyone knows” disability makes life not worth living. And this is why so many disabled people are terrified of euthanasia laws. Not that we’ve been somehow misled by a pro-life agenda or some BS like that.
