Also, some people literally CAN’T get better, and offering ‘help’ no one asked for is not a good idea. Especially if during a conversation about something else.

I often get that when I mention that there are words that just make a little explosion in my brain instead of making sense to me.
Unsolicited attempts to teach me, that are then … when I say it won’t work … then they become something worse than unsolicited.
Also unsolicited attempts to explain away why certain words do that to me. (“You must be too privileged to get it” is a common one I hear when the words are SJ buzzwords.)
