okay so if anyone with actual first hand knowledge steps up and corrects me I will totally take it but I am like ninety-nine percent sure this is ableist bullshit and I have NO indication this man is/was okay with his picture being passed around as “cute” and sensationalized or even knew/knows about it* like seriously this is gross why are you people reblogging it

*tense confusion because I can’t tell how old the picture is

I thought about that, but reblogged because it looks like an older possibly newspaper photo—but mostly because of the obvious love between them.

It would be a little too easy for some people to see other things, though. :/ I wouldn’t necessarily trust the photographer’s motives there, either. But the love still made me smile.

Yeah, same for me.  Cute animal pictures don’t stop becoming cute to me just because there’s a disabled person in them? And I used to dance with cats like that?  Although I was definitely weirded out by the way some people seemed to be seeing the man as cute like the cat, it didn’t stop me liking the picture itself.
