I would also fucking love it if, for once, people on the Gale-apologism side with acknowledge that not everyone who disagrees with some of his choices is some uber-privileged person.  Many of us actually are ourselves from ethnicities which have experienced genocide, colonialism, etc.  At least that’s true of me and many of my friends.

Shockingly enough, not every oppressed person agrees with every other oppressed person.  I know, the apocalypse must surely be nigh.

  3. hawthornhedge said: A hundred times THIS. I’ve just completely had it with the apparently requisite condescending belief that only a privileged naif could disagree with Gale. Uh, no, and way to silence/dismiss the same people they think Gale defends.

  5. shesasurvivor said: The interesting part is that out of all the chars from the districts, Gale is easily the most privileged. At least, he walks away with the least amount of loss in the grand scheme of things.
