I am still crying about this holiday gift from my mother and father, which came with a note saying “to wrap around your heart”.
Also crying about all the Lacy J. Dalton songs I’m listening to.  It’s not the ones that I already remembered the names and lyrics clearly, that get me.  Not things like 16th Avenue.  Never the ones that are on the available MP3s.  It’s the ones that are only on the old records, that I only know the tune to, that’s etched into my brain so deeply it will always be familiar, that I still don’t know the names of.  Those are the ones that get to me.

My parents didn’t have a lot of money this year (I was surprised they had postage for all those records), but they really made every single gift mean something.
