Another thing that’s red-flaggy to me is when people put a lot of quotes around words.
Like this:
“Here” is an “example” sentence.
Except that’s not quite right, the people who do this put the quotes in other places. Not sure how to do it.
But when I see it, it’s alarming. And I’ve seen some scary things from people who do that. I’m not sure why. But I’ve seen it enough to take it seriously as a red flag.
Hmm. I used to do that a lot. I still do put quotes around some words.
Do you mean when they’re not trying to say that something isn’t real?
Like, I’d put quotes around something if I were trying to say I didn’t quite agree with the usage of the word or something.
Do you mean people doing that, or people doing something else?
I’ve run into one person who used quotes in really really weird places, and when I tried to ask him what he meant by it he bit my head off. But he didn’t seem dangerous, just short-tempered.
