Also many hospital personnel.  There’s an actual culture at my local hospital that says that patients like to be taken care of, and therefore won’t do things that they could perfectly well do on their own, and need pushing.  This led to the absurd situation where I shit the bed because I was too weak to get up, and they were running around like chickens with their heads cut off freaking out about the possibility that I might get used to shitting the bed and never use a toilet again.
