This is slightly embarrassing, but since my parents took no photos, I had to go back and figure how it looked when I did swirly braid things in my hair and then hung earrings off them. I was about 12 when I thought this was a good idea. And I have no idea where I got the idea, other than that I thought it was wonderful and all the other kids had a field day.
