Did you knowThat African Grey Parrot is considered to be the most talkative and most intelligent bird in the world?
Although parrots don’t actually “talk”, they mimic the sounds of their surroundings. It often whistles ,clicks or make other sounds. If you have this parrot as a pet,you can expect to listen regular sounds of alarm clocks, video games, telephones as well as dripping water!
Also,African Grey’s can have a lifespan of 50-70 years

“Although parrots don’t actually “talk”, they mimic the sounds of their surroundings.”
Whut…

They will pretty much make any sound around them, though - often just to troll you.  Like “Oh shit, I left the sink on! Oh, it’s just the parrot.” :D

They’ve been proven to be actually talking a lot of the time. Like actual. Scientific. Proof. Although one reason African Grey’s are considered smarter than other parrots is just because their voices are clearer. There are plenty of other birds with the same vocabularies who just don’t have clear voices and are very hard to understand. But trust me. Anyone who spends time around parrots and talks to them like people instead of just yelling POLLY WANT A CRACKER and demanding mimicking only, can tell you that when parrots do talk, they mean it. When they’re not just fucking around of course. Some parrots will even deliberately answer questions wrong because they are trying to tell you, “I’m too smart for this, move on to something interesting.”Look up anything by Irene Pepperberg and you’ll understand.
