eventually i am going to be a normal weight person with a tube up my nose because i have fucked my body.
i feel like there is so much stigma about only really thin eating disorder patients getting tubes.
i have to remember that i have my NJ for gastroparesis, not for non compliance for an eating disorder.
I’m an actually fat person (like 187-190 pounds and 5'2", which is 50 pounds less than when I started, but still fat, not just normal weight) with a GJ tube for gastroparesis, and people sometimes wonder why I need it. People do need to learn that feeding tubes aren’t just for super-thin people or people with eating disorders (which aren’t the same thing, either, since there are normal weight and fat people with eating disorders), they’re also for people with a wide variety of eating-related medical problems.
