So this is a few days after an olive oil/coconut oil treatment, and someone said try using a boar bristle brush so I got a super-cheap one (that I can’t even tell if all the bristles are actually boar or if most are acrylic, even though it says ‘natural boar bristle’ on it), and it seems to work really well, despite the frizz it kicks up at first. Soft shiny hair. Wow. (Like seriously, I went through most of my life with dull hair that felt really dry and scratchy to the touch, I am not used to having hair that makes me go “WOW that’s MY HAIR!?!!?”)
Next time I do oil in my hair, I might try more coconut oil, I think my hair likes it.
I’ve noticed that some people have homemade things they spray onto their hair daily to keep it moisturized, often containing some kind of oil, water, and other stuff. Can anyone give me suggestions? I don’t want to buy some kind of product, I just want something simple I can spray onto my hair, especially the underside that gets super-dry long before the outer part needs more oil. I don’t even know where to start, given that I’ve never really taken care of my hair before. I don’t want to be washing it frequently, even co-washing, so I want something I can spray on every day or so, just to keep the moisture up in between oil treatments and washes. I have olive oil and coconut oil in quantity at home, if either of those need to be ingredients in it.
(And thanks to everyone who’s said they like my hair. I’m not always good at replying to things, especially compliments.)
