Modified a moisturizing spray from the Internet.
I didn’t use ingredients I didn’t want or have…
So I used about 12 tablespoons of distilled water, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, and 1 tablespoon of coconut oil. Got it all to stay liquid (which was the hardest part), by very carefully microwaving (I’d made the coconut oil liquid but it had turned solid the moment it hit the cold water). And then sprayed some of it lightly on my hair, especially the dry undersection, and brushed it through. As I was spraying I had to continually shake the spray bottle to make sure the oils were mixed in – it helps to have a clear bottle so you can see when it’s separated out.
Now it’s dried out, and my hair is super-soft all the way through, which is what I was going for. (And it has a very faint olive oil/coconut oil smell.) The original recipe had another type of oil, as well as vinegar, but I didn’t have the other oil and I didn’t want vinegar so I just used this. Obviously I’ve only used it once, but for now I can’t be happier.
