A U.S. botanist studied the plants drawn in the book and claims that instead of originating in Europe, it may have been written in Mexico, in the Indigenous language of Nahuatl.

Somewhat off-topic.

I notice that frequently, descriptions of scientific controversies say things like “Professor A says that this thing is likely to be true, but Professor B says that other thing is likely to be true, and this is a controversy, and etc.”

Why do they never seem to say “Professor A says that this thing is likely to be true, but that other thing is also likely to be true, and we’re still trying to find out.”?
