I have liquid dexamethasone! I went to the endocrinologist today, and they’re prescribing this until we know for sure what’s causing the adrenal insufficiency.  I just took my first dose, and I really hope it works. He says the biggest thing on his mind is a possible benign mass on my pituitary.  He also said that there’s a very rare side-effect of one of my meds that can affect the pituitary, and he’s going to look into it, but he’s not at all sure it’s that.  So the first thing is to do some kind of brain scan to see if anything’s visible on my pituitary. I just emailed him telling him how often I used to bash my head into things, just in case that caused it.   I hope not.  But I assume he’s not ruling out anything yet.  It takes a lot for me to discuss SIB with my doctors, but I thought this was a good time to say something.
