I finished my proof of concept!  And it not only proved it, it more than worked.  This isn’t a style or color I normally wear (it’s bright purple, even though it looks kind of blue in this picture), but I’ll give it to someone that I think would. So the hat is Tunisian crochet in the round worked on a small cro hook I bought.  The flower and leaves are regular crochet (worked on one end of the same cro hook).  Everything but the leaves are my own design (I’ve never worked from patterns with hats), I modified the leaf design from a Youtube video.  It’s all basic Red Heart acrylic yarn, sport weight.
