hey when you have any thoughts to add even if it’s like five words when you reblog a post just do it. Fuck people who say they hate commentary on reblogs, that’s the best part of having anything reblogged. Don’t hide it in the tags where I can miss it. It’s on your blog now you have the right to speak louder than that.

butts

People yelled at me for doing this and it scared me

Also, butts

I’ve gotten yelled at too.

Or they thought I was talking to them and it’s like no I was just commenting on this thing that appeared on my dash.

Yeah. For me it was… someone was making a post about the stupid child-hating sentiment that dogs should be allowed places and children should not. Which is obviously fucked up in a lot of ways- like comparing humans to animals, saying that people of a certain age should not have access to PUBLIC spaces, that MOTHERS who can’t afford to leave their children somewhere shouldn’t have access to public spaces, etc. And I thought it was a good post and added something about service animals. And the OP yelled at me? And I asked why they were yelling and they said they were sick of everyone adding every little thing that has nothing to do with their point to their post. Even though I explained it was for the benefit for people who might read their original post and think that meant service dogs shouldn’t be anywhere. It was super fucked up.

Another time someone said something like, “Friendly reminder that (list of proper ways to address royalty),” and all I said was, “But I’m not going to meet royalty anytime soon.” Because I was bemused as to why it was written as a PSA? And they said, “Thank you for that intelligent addition to my post.”

In summary, when people yell at me I remember it forever, in great detail, and also people need to chill the fuck out.

I’ve also gotten crap for adding commentary, because apparently only certain kinds of commentary were welcome.  Even though the OP didn’t specify anything about what commentary they did or didn’t welcome.  And it turned into a huge drama.
