weneeddiversebooks: Kids with chronic illness, chronic pain, or any sort of illness or disability are no less capable of being heroes than those who don’t. They might just have to try a little harder and that’s makes them all the more heroic. We are not defined by our diseases, our limitations, or our supposed limitations. We are so much more. It’s time that YA books realized that.
