When I say I have trouble communicating.

And people say “All gifted people have trouble communicating.  It’s because you’re able to think such amazing and original thoughts, that you could never translate them easily into words.  It has nothing to do with being autistic or having any kind of disability.”

Yet another reason I hate ‘gifted’.  (And get seriously irritated at people who think I even still qualify for that label.)

Not on the tags because I don’t feel like getting into it with anyone who wants to say who has it better or worse, because that’s all beside the point I’m trying to make.  This is really bad, and it’s really bad regardless of how bad anything else is.

The end result of all this is that people ignore the fact that I’m not communicating really basic simple ideas like “I’m hungry” and “There’s no food in the house” and “i haven’t eaten in five days”.  Because they assume that my communication problems boil down to ~complex and amazing thoughts that don’t translate to ordinary mortals~.
