I’m going to take note that exploring the ASD,Actually Autistic,Autism, and Aspie tags I always feel much better and less alone.

I wish CT wasn’t so Anti-Autism (and by that I mean they only use autism speaks) I need a support group and I can’t find one here by myself

Thanks guys.

I believe the Boston ASAN chapter is actually more of a New England chapter? So that could be an option if you have/can access transportation. (You might also luck out and be able to get some car pooling but IDK.)

Also, I know for a fact that there are some RI folks floating around even though they might not be chapter-y? thegreenanole do you have any thing that might help the OP?

My bio dad is in CT, but I…chose not to have him be a significant part of my life.

Is there also AANE?  Asperger Association of New England?  I don’t know if they’re in CT but I remember meeting with them in Boston.  They welcomed me even though I’m about as far from an AS diagnosis as an autistic person can get.

Boston is ridiculously amazing compared to Connecticut, I’m not particularly sure I’d be able to attend anything near considering my current resources and transport issues. Do you know of any in NY? I’ve been applying to colleges there and if possible I’d be there for the next four years

There’s GRASP, but I would be extremely wary.
