I am so grateful for days when I can just pee normally
Do you have problems peeing?
I have a spastic urethra that took me ages to find out about, and I’d end up “forgetting how to pee” a lot (that’s what it felt like), or I wouldn’t be able to get all the urine out. And I’d get a lot of infections that way and it only made it worse.
A visit to an idiot neurologist postponed my treatment for five years because he told me urination isn’t voluntary and that the problem was purely psychological. A urologist did a full study of my urination and begged to differ.
Anyway if you have a similar problem (and access to healthcare, which is a big if) there is physical therapy that exists for this sort of thing, and there’s implants like the one I have that loosen the muscle enough to help you pee on your own, and there’s also self-catheterization if none of that works.
