I shouldn’t find this funny.

I mean seriously I’m as sick of my post on ‘allistic’ as the next person (I did not expect it to get reblogged 60 bazillion times, it was just an off-the-cuff rant, and I can’t imagine what people see in it), but I’m still laughing about the 'get this off my dash’ response.  I mean… I’d probably want it off my dash too, honestly.  But still.  Like… there’s something absurd about autistic people wanting other autistic people’s dissenting opinions about something that’s just a word off their dash.  Like… I’m not telling anyone not to use the word, I made that very clear, so what’s the big deal with me saying why I don’t like the word?  (Of course, I could ask the same “what on earth was the big deal here?” of the 60 bazillion people reblogging and liking it all over the place, so this reaction isn’t solely directed at people who disagree with me.  Of course a lot of people who liked it probably disagree with me too and don’t know it.)

Just something about this is striking me as completely and totally absurd and I can’t put my finger on it.
