I’m as sure as I can be sure of anyone on the Internet right now.  I have an ongoing online relationship with her and she’s never struck me as anything but sincere.  By which I don’t just mean normal markers of sincerity, but also details about how her neuro-atypical brain works that aren’t things a person can easily reproduce just to get money (and aren’t things that most people know about).  I’ve known her a long time online and I trust her as much as I trust any of my online friends.  I have signal boosted asking-for-money posts from people that I am far less sure of their motives than I am sure of hers.

  1. katisconfused said: Why this is even a thing that needs to be asked? Like it is one things with strangers and I understand people being iffy about that but friends? it’s not like an offline friend can’t lie to borrow money but people usually are ok with giving it then.
