something-i-dunno asked: Hi, I just came here to say, from one autistic person to another how much I admire & respect you. You've gone through so much shit but fought through it all & came out the other side. The things you write, while I don't always agree with them are always very insightful & have made me stop & think more than once. I see you as a role model for these reasons. That's not to say I think you're infallible, but there's many reasons to look up to someone like you. How's Fey doing these days by the way?

Thank you very much for seeing me as a whole human being.  That means a lot to me.  I have a friend who says she never trusts anyone’s assessment of her writing until they disagree with her on something, and I understand the sentiment completely.  Fey is doing pretty well.  She’s just turned fifteen, and she’s getting kind of skinny which makes me worry about her, but she seems to be pretty healthy for her age.

  1. natalunasans said: our old (14+?) Rita is getting thin, too. the vet said to give her kitten food because of the high protein and weight gain aspects. she doesn’t gain weight on it but i think she likes it a lot.
